Having worked closely with Ian McCarthy, Jack learned the importance of respecting traditional roofing techniques while continually developing new skills. Those values remain at the heart of everything he does.

Continuing Ian's Legacy
P&M Heritage Roofing was founded on the values that Rob and Jack learned while working alongside their friend, mentor and colleague, Ian McCarthy founder of Yorkshire Heritage Roofing.
Ian was widely regarded as one of Yorkshire's finest heritage roofers and leadwork specialists. His passion for traditional craftsmanship, complex heritage roofing and passing his knowledge on to the next generation earned him enormous respect throughout the roofing industry.
His dedication to excellence was recognised with the prestigious Prince of Wales Master Craftsman honour, presented by King Charles III, a distinction that reflected his exceptional skill, professionalism and commitment to the craft. He also achieved a Level 3 Heritage NVQ, became one of the youngest roofing instructors at Leeds College Building, and dedicated himself to mentoring future generations of roofers.
Following Ian's tragic passing, Rob and Jack made the decision to carry those values forward by establishing P&M Heritage Roofing. Today, every member of the team shares the same commitment to specialist leadwork, heritage roofing and the restoration of listed and historic buildings using traditional methods, quality materials and meticulous attention to detail.
Every roof we restore is more than just another project, it's an opportunity to honour the standards of craftsmanship, integrity and pride that Ian inspired in those around him.
